Be Proud of Your VFW on Veterans Day
On this Veterans Day, I want all veterans to know that “Every Veteran Matters”.This phrase guides me through my year as Commander-in-Chief of the VFW. A slogan, this message has never been more relevant on a day set aside for all Americans to reflect on and thank those in the uniform of our nation. VFW on veterans essentially exists to make the phrase “Every Veterans Matters” a practical benefit to its members and therefore to all American veterans.
A recent and vivid example is the advocacy of the recently enacted PACT Act. and facilitated the passage of legislation. A day of law-abiding through VFW magazine and other communications is at the heart of military service: honors. The honor reflects the values and traditions of answering the call to duty on behalf of one’s team, our organization, and our country. While he has 16.5 million American veterans who embody this spirit, he has only 54,000 veterans who served honorably in the Department of Homeland Security.

It is a unique privilege to serve alongside his fellow DHS veterans and witness their inspiring commitment to our mission every day. Our nation is safer, stronger, and more prosperous as a direct result of all the extraordinary individuals at home and abroad who have raised their hands and pledged to defend their homeland in times of conflict and peace. Resilience. To the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guards, and Observers who have honored this country, for all you have done and will continue to do on behalf of the American people, I would like to continue to express my gratitude.
